A Message from Drs. Dao and Mao regarding Los Angeles Wildfires
The last few days have been a dizzying whirlwind as our families, along with countless others across Los Angeles, have had to evacuate from wildfires fueled by hurricane-strength winds and fires. Our heart goes out to those who have lost their homes, been displaced, and evacuated. While the devastation has been overwhelming, we’ve also witnessed something extraordinary: an outpouring of love, concern, and offers of help from so many people to us and everyone. Your kindness has been deeply felt.
Even as the fire continues to rage, healing work must begin. It will be long, arduous, stressful, and emotional at times. But we will do this together and rise above. For our part, we are channeling support through Yo San University, one of the nonprofit organizations we have founded to serve the community with compassionate care and holistic health resources. Yo San University’s Blount Community Clinic offers free Community Acupuncture treatments to those affected by the wildfires. We will be volunteering our time there. For hours and availability, please call 310-577-3006 or visit the Yo San University website at YoSan.edu. It is located near Costco in Culver City.
We are all affected by this tragedy. Thank you for helping each other and bringing our city together. Together, we can rise from this tragedy to a stronger human family than ever before. Thank you for your compassion and support.
