Jason’s Success Stories
It was by chance that my life was dramatically altered through acupuncture, and more precisely, Jason Moskovitz at Tao Of Wellness. For the past 35 years I have suffered with nerve pain in my right leg and buttocks due to sciatica combined with chronic outbreaks of the herpes virus on my leg. I told a friend about the debilitating pain I’d been experiencing. She suggested that I see Jason and that is when my life started to positively change.
At our first meeting, Jason did a thorough job of inquiring about my medical history; compiling a list of drugs/supplements that I am taking; and learning about the problem I wanted him to treat. After our discussion, I felt very confident that the acupuncture treatments would help to alleviate my pain. Jason answered all of my questions easily based on his extensive knowledge of Chinese medicine. He is an exceptionally kind and gentle person with a high degree of empathy and concern for his patients. I felt comfortable that I would receive the best of care. Each session started with a discussion of how I was feeling and the treatment was geared towards any concerns I had on that day.
I am very sensitive to drugs/supplements and reluctantly agreed to take the herbs that Jason prescribed. My viral outbreaks became less frequent and severe within one month. I became highly energetic and my spirits were uplifted. The pain and insecurity that accompanied the outbreaks have been greatly mitigated. I am a type A personality and my stress levels and reactions to stress were replaced with patience and gratitude. Jason treats the whole person and provided me with spiritual insight as well as diet and exercise advice.
Many people fear acupuncture because they don’t like needles. I am one of those people. However, the needles are painless. I found myself looking forward to the deep relaxation during and after each session. I have never had healthy fingernails, my hair was thinning, and I had difficulty sleeping. With the acupuncture, herbs, and meditation techniques I have learned, I now have finger nails to trim, my hair feels fuller, I am sleeping more calmly, I am less stressed, and most importantly I have far fewer problems with my viral outbreaks and sciatica.
I have recommended and will continue to recommend Jason’s services to anyone that suffers from severe stress and/or chronic pain. Chinese medicine looks at you, the whole person; and treatment by an expert acupuncturist can change your life and bring you total wellness.”

I was visiting South Central India and got a mosquito bite on my left arm. I woke up the next morning and my arm and face were swollen and red. My eyes were bloodshot and I had a fever. All my joints became very swollen and inflamed and I had a high fever for four days. When I arrived home I met with the medical doctor covered by my insurance. After several tests he confirmed that it was likely Chikungunya, a mosquito-born virus, and that there was really nothing he could do for me. There was no known treatment and traditional painkillers were ineffective. I was advised to take large doses of Ibuprofen and limit my activity. Shortly thereafter I contacted Jason Moskovitz to see if there was anything Chinese Medicine or Acupuncture could do. He was very interested in learning about all the symptoms and reviewing exactly where I hurt. At this point it was practically in every joint in my body! I had great difficulty walking and could hardly get up off the floor once I sat down.
The initial treatment consisted of drinking a custom Chinese herbal blend three times per day. I started noticing the effect within the first week. Jason assured me that it would be a slow process of detoxification so I kept up the routine of drinking the herbal tea for 2 months. I was also treated with a series of acupuncture treatments to reduce the pain in my joints and aid me in regaining some flexibility. Even though some needles were placed very deeply in certain joints, the treatments were relatively painless.
I’m happy to report that I recovered full mobility. All the pain is gone. I have regained my strength and flexibility too.
Jason was able to make me a true believer in Chinese medicine and acupuncture!”

Miscarriage is one of the more heartbreaking issues to confront for couples that are struggling to start a family. Traditional Chinese medicine views each person and their miscarriage history individually, allowing for a customized solution, often integrating with other medical interventions. Certain hormonal imbalances or circulatory blockages that lead to miscarriage can be corrected with acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, exercise, and meditation. The right combination and timing of chosen modalities, together with a diligent patient, can yield seemingly miraculous results by optimizing the human body’s ability to create a new life.
I had the distinct pleasure of treating a darling woman by the name of Liliana. She and her husband had dealt with what seemed like every possible physical and emotional hurdle on their way to becoming parents. Before you read on, know that Liliana’s story ends well and that the ups and downs of one’s journey toward parenthood may be long and traumatic. But in Liliana’scase, her success came with just the right combination of medicine and perseverance.
Liliana was 30 when she decided to get pregnant her first time. She quickly got pregnant but, unfortunately, quickly lost the pregnancy as well. She was devastated, but with her husband’s support they tried again a few months later. The second time it took over a year to get pregnant. She safely made it to her second trimester, but Liliana’s world was rocked once again when she heard her baby was dangerously small, and at 23 weeks, Liliana delivered her stillborn son. Needless to say, Liliana struggled with the loss, sadness, and confusion for some time after this. But, after a year passed, Liliana sought out Tao of Wellness as a way to reclaim her life again. Liliana explains:
At my initial appointment the doctor told me he would let me know when to start trying to conceive again. I explained to him I never wanted to get pregnant again. I told him I just wanted to be healthy and happy. I never imagined that I would end up being a patient of Tao of Wellness for 3 years. For 3 years I drank the herbs and went in for weekly acupuncture, which I deeply enjoyed and looked forward to. Gradually I came out of that deep sadness that had taken over my life.
My final two years at Tao of Wellness I worked closely with Jason Moskovitz. Jason was always there to calm my worries and fears. And there was never a shortage of worries as I decided to get back on the path to motherhood again. I was so scared of the unknown and felt like I couldn’t possibly hold on to a pregnancy full term. Jason always reassured me that I would be OK, and so would my baby. 4 years after my stillbirth, I was once again pregnant, this time through IVF.
My husband and I were ecstatic. I was highly monitored from the start by my reproductive endocrinologist, and by Jason. I kept up with acupuncture and herbs the entire pregnancy. At 38 weeks and 2 days my dreams finally came true. I delivered my beautiful son. A dream that started many years before with so much heartache and pain had finally come true. I really thought I would never be able to have children of my own, but I kept going. I am so happy I did. I look at my son now and I am so in love with him. He has brought my husband and I so much joy. I will always be eternally grateful to the doctors of Tao of Wellness. The love, support, and hope they gave me will never be forgotten.
Dear Jason Moskovitz,
I wanted to offer my thanks regarding all that you’ve done for me while under your care.
A year ago my primary care physician referred me to you as a last resort to deal with a rare and incurable condition, not words one likes to hear when talking about one’s health. It had decimated my life. I was a fit and active middle-age man, in otherwise perfect health, who was used to running every day and hiking on weekends.
But I could no longer do any of these things. I couldn’t work. I suffered from chronic pain, lack of energy and sleep deprivation from frequent urination every 30 minutes throughout the night. What I have is called interstitial cystitis. It came out of nowhere, and according to Western medicine there was little I could do. The few treatments available for this are extremely limited in their effectiveness, and they did nothing to alleviate my suffering.
I was admittedly skeptical about acupuncture when I first came to see you, though I was suffering greatly and needed help. Western medicine offered no relief from my suffering. No hope. But you did. You listened. You explained what acupuncture is, how it works, and after a fairly comprehensive history of my condition, you gave me a treatment plan and a timeline as to when I could expect improvement. Six weeks later, as forecast, my symptoms began to lesson.
A year removed from that day, I am symptom-free for the most part. The chronic pain is gone. I run regularly and hike again, and can work again. I’m incredibly productive and optimistic, as both my head and body are in a far better place. You gave me my life back, Jason, and I’m eternally grateful.
You’re both a great practitioner of Chinese medicine and a remarkable credit to the Tao of Wellness. They’re lucky to have you. You’re also a fine man and someone I consider a friend. You’re knowledgeable, intuitive, and extraordinarily caring, a real partner on the path to wellness. You went beyond treating just my symptoms and sought to care for my whole being. You’re a great communicator as well, who conveys a natural warmth and a quiet, reassuring confidence. And it’s quite clear that you’re passionate about, believe in, and love what you do, things that only enhance the quality of your care and help fuel the faith that your patients have in you.
I have spoken to many people about you, Jason, and referred several individuals whom I know could benefit from acupuncture. I will continue to do so. I wish you happiness and success, and offer my sincere thanks for your committed care.

I noticed a partial blurriness blocking the vision of my left eye. When I made an appointment with my eye doctor I was diagnosed with a primary Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion. There was no swelling associated with this, just blood within the layers of the retina.
The recommended protocol was an injection in the left eye every six weeks to keep any possible future swelling at bay. With an indefinite schedule of injections over the course of months to years, I chose not to accept this for myself and instead called Dr. Jason Moskovitz at Tao of Wellness to have him put together a Chinese medicine treatment program for this problem. He worked his magic in prescribing a particular herbal tea which I drank faithfully three times a day for over the course two months. I returned two more times to my ophthalmologist who discounted the gradual dispersal of the blood and the healing of the eye to luck.
When I later returned to my eye doctor, he saw no retinal swelling and the blood had completely dispersed leaving me with excellent vision and a nearly 100% assurance that this kind of problem would likely never occur again. He still discounted the effect of Chinese Medicine, but was helpful in keeping Dr. Moskovitz in the loop with pictures of my eye as it progressed in its healing.
Thank you, Dr. Moskovitz for supporting my belief in Chinese Medicine and, in particular, for your knowledge and care in the treatment protocol prescribed for me. I will call you again.

I have always been a very balanced and emotionally stable person. When I started to experience menopause I began to experience an emotional roller coaster. I began to not feel like myself and didn’t have any control over the change. One minute I would feel like crying over a TV commercial and the next minute I would snap at someone for no reason. I also was not sleeping well, up several times throughout the night. When I did sleep it felt as though I would dream all night long and I would wake up very tired. The worst symptom was my hands and feet felt like they were on fire, always hot and having a burning sensation. I went to my western doctor for help and their only solution was to put me on birth control pills. I had gotten to the point of losing hope and didn’t think anything could help what I was going through. My aunt was currently a client at Tao of Wellness and when I was in Newport Beach visiting her she had me go see Jason Moskovitz. I live in Northern California and Jason has been treating me ever since, via appointments over the phone. Then my whole life changed when I started being treated by Jason with Chinese Medicine. I can honestly say I feel like myself again. My emotions are under control, I have no more hot feet/hands, and I am sleeping so deeply, feeling rested when I wake up. Chinese Medicine brings hope and successful results! Thank you Jason for never giving up and for finding the right remedies to help me become a healthier and happier person. Much Gratitude!
